Cost of Kitchen
From concept to completion plan on budgeting up to 15% of the value of your house, or more, if you plan to install a very high-end customized kitchen.

Additional Cost
You might need to pay for permits and disposal. Consult with your contractor about other construction costs before beginning.
It is wise to add up to 20% to your budget for unexpected overruns.

Price Comparison
Cabinets: 1-24" cabinet is  less expensive than 2-12" cabinets.

Cabinet Material: Generally, painted and wood doors are more expensive than thermofoil and laminate. Woods vary in cost depending on species. For example, cherry being more expensive than maple and oak.

Cabinet Color: Generally, cabinetry with Standard color is less expensive than the ones with Glazed color. 

Countertops: More expensive countertops are made from Granite, Marble, Stainless and Solid Surface. Laminate countertops are relatively inexpensive.

Appliances, Sink & Faucets: Products with no frills are less expensive than the ones with frills.
